Hi, I have had soreness on the sides of my neck for sometime. My MD took some xrays but nothing showed. Soemtimes I have shooting pains up in my head almost on top. It hurts most in the morning although I sleep on my back with my head straight. Once I'm up its sore during the day. Any ideas?

Dr. Nomi :

Hi,

Dr. Nomi :

I believe it is just a muscular pain which is caused by bad posture.

Dr. Nomi :

Some time we do not keep a good straight posture while we are working.Especially when we work at computers.

Dr. Nomi :

When you sleep muscles come to rest and there is no pain but in activities when they are used they start aching.

Dr. Nomi :

Try massage of neck with tea tree oil twice a day everyday.

Dr. Nomi :

Keep posture straight.

Dr. Nomi :

Do not worry.
