This is an unusual symptom. A likely possibility is startle response due to audio stimulus. This may be related to sleep disorder, anxiety or less likely an underlying neurological disorder. If this happens on a regular basis and is affecting your lifestyle, a consultation with a neurologist would be recommended.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Please "accept" when done.
I do have tenitus constant ringing that never stops. I wear amplifiers. my ears, nose and throat doctors said this would help get rid of the loudness.
Tinnitus can have many causes including neurological disease. I do think, however, that the jerking sensation in the body is a startle response to the noise you hear, and not a true seizure. Could the sound be related to your amplifier? Again, like I mentioned, if the symptoms are too frequent or too bothersome, do see a neurologist.
Thank you for your response. I do not wear my amplifiers when I sleep. I will seek further medical attention. thanks again.
