I have noticed yesterday that I have two small red circles, approx. the size of a dime on my left breast. There is a small red dot as if something has bitten me. Both spots are giving me a little discomfort, no itching. Any ideas on what this could be?

Dr. Nomi :

Hi,

Dr. Nomi :

Is any nipple discharging or looking inverted?

Dr. Nomi :

Are there any other skin changes apart from this?

Dr. Nomi :

Any lump in armpit etc?

Customer:

No just the two red marks that look like a bee sting, red circle with deeper red dot

Dr. Nomi :

There is possibility that it is just infection like ring worm.Apply Lotrimin once a day.If its infection it will fade away in few days.

Dr. Nomi :

Just in case if it increases in size or its color changes then you need to see your doctor for proper examination.

Customer:

How on earth could I get ring worm on my breast? I didn't know that ring worm caused pain...

Dr. Nomi :

Lotrimin is over the counter anti fungal.

Dr. Nomi :

You did not mention you have pain.

Dr. Nomi :

If its painful then you 'MUST' get it examined .

Dr. Nomi :

Because any breast skin changes in your age must be seen by a Physician.

Customer:

It's mild discomfort. I mentioned this in my original posting

Dr. Nomi :

Ok.

Dr. Nomi :

Discomfort is not present in ringworm or any fungal infection.

Customer:

That's what I thought. It feels like a slight sting...

Dr. Nomi :

Did you go outdoor in last few days?

Customer:

No

Customer:

I did some work a week ago on our lot, clearing wood but have been indoors for the last four days

Dr. Nomi :

Its not an insect bite even.

Dr. Nomi :

However,do not worry apply an antibiotic cream for 3 days .

Dr. Nomi :

You can apply any over the counter cream for it.

Dr. Nomi :

It should fade in few days.

Customer:

Thank you for your assistance....

Dr. Nomi :

welcome
