I had surgery on Aug. 23rd 2012 and contraced MRSA from the hospital. I am an american with disabilites on Social Security. My anger comes from my doctor leaving on vacation after my surgery and not even leaving ANYONE on call. I suffered with a 104 degree fever for almost a week/

If you are having infection in post operative period then you should do following-

-Get the culture & sensitivity of the pus or tissue sample.

-There are some medicines like vancomycin,piperacillin,tazobactum,rifampicin which are very helpful in this.Please consult to a infectious disease specialist doctor for this.

-Take care of good hygeine.Wash the hands with soap & water recurrently ,avoid using cloths & utensils of others.

-Supplement your immune system wth chromium & zinc.
