Yesterday, I started having a slight pain in my left ankle.

This answer was rated:

Yesterday, I started having a slight pain in my left ankle. About the time I got to work (8 P.M.) I noticed a pain in my left armpit, almost like there was a bruise. By the time I got home from work (9 A.M.) I could barely walk and my ankle is very swolen, however there is no bruising. Should I seek attention for this now, or just wait it out for a day or two and see if it goes down with ice and ibuprophen?

Hi

are you online?

Customer:

yes

RK :

welcome to Justanswer!

Customer:

thanks

RK :

since when do you have this symptom?

Customer:

I first noticed it yesterday morning, and it has gotten worse throughout the night

RK :

any injury? Sprain? twisted ankle?

Customer:

None that I can recall. It feels like a sprain, but there is very little bruising, unlike sprains I've had in the past

RK :

sprain could still be the possible cause

RK :

Rest

RK :

Ice Pack

RK :

Compression bandage

RK :

elevating the swollen part is all that you need to do for relief

RK :

If there is severe pain, you can take painkiller medication like advil

RK :

the mainstay however is RICE ( which I have mentioned above)

RK :

does that answer you question?

Customer:

Yes, thank you
