When were you bitten ?
Have you taken a rabies vaccine for this ?
You will need to get vaccinated for rabies if you haven't as yet
You need to ensure that you are unto date on your tetanus vaccination as well
You will need antibiotic tablets in order to prevent an infection as well
You also need to keep the wound clean .
Thus these are the measures that need to be taken if you are bitten by a dog .
So please see a doctor and follow through with all these measures .
I wish you all the best a speedy recovery and great health
Take care and god bless

I was bitten at 2:30am.The dog was my own, so no rabies worries, and I'm current on my tetanus. I won't be able to get to a doctor until Tuesday. Is hydrogen peroxide okay to use to clean a deep cut(5 -10 millmeters)? I've been using Dial soap to clean it so far. How can I prevent scarring? The swelling has yet to go down as well.
