I'm having some small issues and I just want to get some input. My hands are hurting terribly. I take medication for osteo but all of the sudden the pain has increased and I have had a trigger thumb before but right now all of my joints in my fingers and thumbs are sticking. This morning when I woke up my fingers on my left and all had to be manually popped out. My right hand also has the same problem but not as severe. My left eye is twitching in the lid and below it. This has been going on for about a month. It is everyday and almost all day. Yesterday a muscle same side started twitching on my jaw line right below my ear. It is crazy weird and sometimes is visible to others especially when below my eye. piercing (like being stung or bit by a bug or bee) in different areas of my body. backs of legs upper thigh and calf. also occurs in right forearm and left side lower back. I actually checked my bed for scorpions or spiders.

Hello and welcome, I am happy to help you today. The painful joints an fingers needs to be clinically examined to exclude inflammatory arthritic conditions like rheumatoid, SLE,serongetaive arthritis etc.A good way to approach would be to see your GP first and get an X ray of both the hands including the wrists and to look for any changes that needs immediate attention. This may be followed by specific blood work. Now, if there are any abnormalities in these initial tests, yous should see a rheumatologist.Secondly, the involuntary twitching is known as "myokymia". This may be simply stress related or over work like using the computer etc. This along with the painful stings all over your body can also be due to electrolyte imbalances, dehydration.I hope my answer has helped you.Any more question, feel free to ask. Please remember to rate me excellent service to give credit for my answer and time.We only receive credit for answering your question with a positive rating.
I guess I was looking for a little more and I needed to give a little more information. I already have seen Rheumatologists since I have been young. I have previously been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitas but that diagnosis was reversed and replaced with Osteo because of Elhers Danlos III> I have been going to these doctors since I was a teenager and I still have crippled hands that hurt constantly. I'm actually starting to get old now and it is starting to scare me because they don't just hurt but they are not always functional.
I'm mostly concerned about the twitching because it is moving down my face.
Also you did not address the stinging pain.
I will understand if it is not worth it to address this more fully but please pass it on to another doctor if you don't have the time or interest in a more in depth answer. I need a little more info and I guess I should of asked if there is a connection. All of these symptoms have started at the same time and have continued to get more severe over the last 6 weeks.
You did not mention all the information earlier, so my answer was more generalized and concise. The muscle twitching may be due to low sodium or poatssium or magnesium . This may be idiopathic or may be due to other reaons like hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue / stress. You should get the blood electrolytes checked and also the thyroid hormone level, if not done in the last 3 months. This electrolyte imbalance may be a cause for the muscle twitching .The stinging pain may be due to peripheral neuropathy due to peripheral arterial disease. To diagnose this condition, you can get a doppler ultrasound study of the peripheral (upper and lower limb) arteries.Atherosclerosis, vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency, drinking alcohol, smoking etc are some of the common reasons for peripheral neuropathy.I hope my answer has helped you. Please remember to rate me excellent service to give credit for my answer and time.We only receive credit for answering your question with a positive rating.
