I have a disc protrusion at L4-L5. It inflammed on July 4th and was unable to move for a few days. I have been doing physio and now my hamstring is all better however as soon as my hamstring 'healed' my back (lower) got really sore. I am still continuing physio obviously, but wanted to get an outside opinion on is this still in the healing process or does this mean the sciatica has gotten worse?

Hello

mysticdoc :

Thanks for your question.

mysticdoc :

This is still part of healing process.

mysticdoc :

Since your hamstring problem got better, this is not worsening of sciatica.

mysticdoc :

The back soreness should also improve with physical therapy.

mysticdoc :

Heat application will help along with analgesics.

mysticdoc :

Best wishes,
