Every time I have a bowel movement there is blood in the toilet on on the paper. I have to use 2 maxi pads all the time to catch it in between times when I'm not in the bathroom. I also have bowel movements 3 to 5 or more times a day which is normal for me. (Sadly my record is 17 times in 24 hours) I'm not constipated at all. I had hemorrhoid surgery and a colonoscopy about 3 years ago and it was just internal hemorrhoids at that time. But it's Sunday night, and I feel dizzy and it all just won't stop and it's been 4 or 5 days now. Do I go into the ER? Live with it?? I'm scared to eat because I just don't want to poop again! Help.

How much blood have you lost in terms of cups?
I'm not sure. Probably 1?
Okay, if you have lost that much blood you should go to an ER, you need a rectal exam
But can they do anything? It's not a doctor from that field at the hospital.
If it is due to bleeding hemorrhoids you will need surgery
At the very least you may need a blood transfusion, so you need tests to determine how much blood you have lost
That's what I was afraid of. Sorry, I'm alone and it's difficult to make these decisions sometimes. Would showering before going be ok? I freak about freaking out a doctor seeing this.
I don't think you should shower, if you feel dizzy you should go now
Alright. Thank you Dr. Brims. I appreciate the advise more than you know.
You're very welcome
