I have no insurance and haven't been to my primary care doctor on almost two years, but would like my alprazolam script renewed. Can you do that?
Optional Information: Person's Gender: Female Person's Age: 34 Already Tried: As far as online or meds? Nothing online before. I've gotten one script a year for alprazolam for about 7 or 8 years; 90 1mg tablets. I don't need them daily, but in spurts when axiety spikes.
Hello JACustomer, I am sorry to tell you this, and I also feel for you; anxiety is not pleasant at all, but no valid or ethical health care provider would prescribe over the Internet. JustAnswer is an informational and educational service only; if you got the impression we offer prescriptions it is a misunderstanding. The reason ethical providers would not prescribe without an in person exam is that without the exam, there really is no way to know everything that is happening with the patient. And there is no way to establish a patient-provider relationship; working TOGETHER with your provider gives him/her the best probability for helping you obtain effective and safe medication.I'm sure you've seen or heard of online narcotics and medication sales...these web sites operate illegally and you can go to jail for buying without a valid prescription. To add insult to injury, studies show the drugs advertised are often NOT good quality and NOT even the medicine they claim to be.Here is a website regarding the dangers of online and illegal narcotics sale: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/consumer_alert.htmAnd from the FDA: http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm048396.htmPlease see your provider for a alprazolam prescription; I understand you lack insurance and have not seen him/her in two years. If you lack the funds (or insurance) and or do not have a provider (its been a while since your last visit) there are low cost clinics which might be able to help you out here: here are some web pages to help find them. http://www.needymeds.org/free_clinics.taf and http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/Search_HCC.aspx and http://www.pparx.org/en/prescription_assistance_programs/free_clinic_finderI hope I was able to help,Sincerely, Susan
