I am here to answer you
Do you have breathlessness or any other complaints apart from the clear fluid discharge ?
I am just worried because of the diabetes and lyphodema
Yes i get your point .
Has the oozing reduced ?
No it pretty steady I would say about a teaspoon an hour maybe a little more. It is completely clear with no odor.
How many days has this been going on for ?
it started just a leaking just a little bit about three days ago
I started the Cipro this morning.
As you have started on oral antibiotics it is good
This could help this clear faster
You should ensure your blood sugar is within normal limits and well controlled
should I wrap the area with a compression bandage
You should keep the wound clean and you can apply a normal bandage as you wrap it up
A normal dressing will do
If you have access to a doctor then you should get it checked as you are diabetic as well
The oozing fluid should be tested with culture and sensitivity
This will give us more information on the same
So ideally you should get a check
It will be a few days before my doctor will be in the office. It is ok to wait that long?
How many days ?
he is out till Wednesday
If the discharge does not decrease or you develop additional complaints then you should get a check
So you should keep a close watch
ok thank you very much for your help
Keep the wound clean and well dressed
You are welcome
I wish you all the best , a speedy recovery and great health
