Hello and welcome, I am happy to help you today.

This could be leukoplakia . This may be due to irritation of the tongue from teeth bite or dentures or from smoking but there may not be any cause. This is usually harmless but may be pre cancerous.

Another possibility is oral thrush where the white patches can be scraped off easily like cottage cheese.

Please see a dentist or an ENTspecialist and get it examined clinically for active treatment like oral anti fungals or antibiotic.

You can use a mouth gargle like hexidine for disinfecting the sore bump.

If you have any further question, please get back to me.

I hope my answer is helpful to you.

Canker sores can be treated by home remedies.Take regular vitamin B complex which can be effective for canker sores.Home remedies include the use of aloe vera juice as a mouth rinse and applying a dab of milk of magnesia on the affected area to soothe the irritation.

When dealing with bacteria bumps on tongue, you can use an antiseptic mouthwash like hexidine or rinsing the mouth with lukewarm saline solution. Consumption of yoghurt is highly beneficial in reducing Oral Thrush.'

If none of this help, please make an appointment with the dentist or an ENT.
