physician123 :

Hello,

physician123 :

physician123 :

I am sorry to hear of your discomfort

physician123 :

Please enter the chat .

Customer:

hello

Customer:

thanks for agreeing to chat with me

physician123 :

You are welcome

Customer:

may i ask what kind of doctor you are

physician123 :

Could you tell me how can I help you ?

Customer:

sure

Customer:

I was talking to another doctor, but was curious about a second opinion

physician123 :

Sure tell me what are the complaints you have at present ?

Customer:

if I show you a picture of where I am often experiencing discomfort, could you talk about possible causes, and specifically, how it might relate to possible colon or appendicitus pain

physician123 :

Yes

Customer:

Customer:

that is my picture, i diagrammed where i experience this pain

Customer:

red is more sever and common location, green is medium common and severity, and blue is least common and severity

physician123 :

Yes

physician123 :

I got it 11

physician123 :

it

Customer:

ok cool, thanks for looking

physician123 :

Do you have any other complaints apart from the pain ?

Customer:

does it seem clear what im trying to communicate with the colors

physician123 :

Yes

Customer:

well, i had other symptoms monday night

physician123 :

Perfectly clear .

Customer:

i felt nauseas and had a nasty headache and felt weak and shaky

Customer:

but no fever

physician123 :

Do you have a problem with your urine or stools ?

Customer:

and tuesday was better, but still weak, then yesterday and today, better still, but still have the pains from the picture on and off , coming and going, seems to be related to meals

Customer:

and food,

physician123 :

Okay

Customer:

but ive had these pains going back 2 years now, on and off, sometimes they come for a couple weeks, then i go without any pain for awhile, then it might come back

Customer:

but this week, it occurred with the other symptoms, may or may not be related

physician123 :

There are a few possibilities that need to be considered in here

Customer:

but really, i was curious about the locations and if that means apendix

physician123 :

Appendicitis is a common cause of the pain in the area you mentioned but it is not usually related to meals

physician123 :

Thus as it is related to meals then it could be related to the bowel

physician123 :

A CT scan with contrast though helps know the exact cause of this as well .

Customer:

so based on my pictures, where the red is, i thought maybe that is too low for eppendix pain

Customer:

its almost groin area

physician123 :

Appendix can cause the pain in the red area . The pain usually starts around the umbilicus and radiates down to the right

Customer:

physician123 :

Another possibility of a pain in the area is also a ureteric stone

Customer:

that seems higher and more between the hip and belly button

physician123 :

Well it is a possibility as there can be a little variation in the location of the pain

Customer:

i see

Customer:

how is the pain usually described

physician123 :

A CT scan with contrast would be a step in the right direction along with a blood count

Customer:

now im nervous again :)

Customer:

right

physician123 :

No there is no reason to be nervous

Customer:

i have been nervous i have had it

Customer:

worry about it quite a lot

physician123 :

As you did mention it comes on with meals it points more to something within the bowels

Customer:

i do feel that

physician123 :

There is really no reason to get stressed

Customer:

it feels food related as i can almost feel the food passing and irritating it

Customer:

many times

Customer:

but maybe im imagining that, but it seems like it to me

physician123 :

A pain like this is a common occurrence and once we have the diagnosis in hand then the treatment can be started in accordance with the same .

Customer:

most often it occures around 3 hours after meals and sometimes in the morning right as i awake

physician123 :

Do not think too much about it

physician123 :

Anxiety can make things worse .

physician123 :

So please relax and see your doctor for this and he will be able to take you through this .

Customer:

true, i feel that as well, and i mean stress can make it worse for real

physician123 :

Yes!!

Customer:

but your feeling is its not an acute condition?

physician123 :

No it does not seem like an acute condition as you have the pain on and off since the past 2 years

physician123 :

Nonetheless as the pain has been chronic it is worth getting it checked .

Customer:

well, if we discard that part for now, and just measure from monday night

Customer:

lets say, it started monday night

Customer:

and its thursday right now

Customer:

could it be accute?

physician123 :

If it is only 3 days back then it can be acute

physician123 :

The pain in an acute condition is usually quite severe though

Customer:

by the third night it would be escalating? not coming and going

physician123 :

Yes usually that is the case

Customer:

i have heard appendicitus usually escalates in hours

Customer:

like you are in the ER within 12-24 hours with extreme pain

Customer:

not guessing about things

Customer:

its not subtle, that is what the other doc hinted

Customer:

or said

physician123 :

Well yes the pain with an inflamed appendix is usually very severe .

Customer:

but i have to say, im nervous again, as the location is not ruling it out, and the timeframe as well is suspect, now im worrying i have it again

Customer:

i thought the red would be too low for it

Customer:

or less common at least

Customer:

based on the other picture it seemed too low

physician123 :

As I mentioned as it is related to the meals it makes appendicitis less likely

Customer:

well, i think it is

Customer:

but i guess i have no proof of that

physician123 :

So please do not worry , though you should still get a check

Customer:

but it seems to be the case

Customer:

when you say check, do you mean go to the ER?

physician123 :

The pain with the appendix is quite severe too and you would have found it difficult to chat with a pain like that

Customer:

oh i see, i wouldnt be here chatting with you, i would be in great distress

physician123 :

If the pain is not as severe then you can also get it checked in your doctors office

physician123 :

Yes exactly

Customer:

well i can walk and jump and act normal right now

Customer:

but i do feel some sensations in there even now as we talk

physician123 :

Well a person with an acute condition cannot do all of that

Customer:

i think the pain at its height might hit a 3 on the 1-10 scale

physician123 :

Sensation and a severe pain are two different things

Customer:

varies from 0-3

physician123 :

So please relax and do not think about it as much

physician123 :

As I see it you are an anxious person

Customer:

maybe a tiny hit of a 4, very infrequently and short lasting

physician123 :

Thus do not worry

Customer:

yes i am, i am sorry about that

Customer:

i have anxiety and a bit of hypochndria as well

physician123 :

So please relax

Customer:

i should has said that first

physician123 :

Ii can see that , that is the reason I mentioned it

physician123 :

So please calm down and relax and rest

Customer:

but, i worry then i wont be taken seriously too, my symptoms do feel real

physician123 :

You should try and get some sleep .

Customer:

i will soon, good advice, the other complication is I am in canada right now, so seeing my doctor is not easy unfortunately

Customer:

but this site does help

physician123 :

Your pain is not as severe

physician123 :

Please do not worry

physician123 :

You can ask for me later when you have questions .

Customer:

ok, thank you very much for your patience and time

Customer:

have you seen many appedix cases in real life?

Customer:

just curious

physician123 :

Yes

physician123 :

Have seen many of them

Customer:

so you can feel pretty confident about my situation, seems not likely to be it

physician123 :

It is a very common condition so yes have seen innumerable cases

physician123 :

Yes

physician123 :
