I ve had headaches for 2months almost everyday. Mri showed I had infl.amation of the cover of my brain but the dr ruled out mengitis sent me home with pain meds. I had a cervical fusion on my neck 3yrs ago could thisb b the problem. Please help
Tell me more about the headaches.
They sommetimes feel like they start from the back of my neck. And feels like the top of my head is goin to explode when I get them I have to walk bent over so the pressure is not on my head its weird. Mostly their happenin now at nite.
Have you had an MRI or a ct of the neck recently? Is the pain just on one side?
Just xray of my neck. No its not just the whole head. I've been takin pain meds everyday and the dr at the hospita put me on depakote which makes me feel dead and I know that med is for seizures. So I don't know I quit takin those
When did you stop the depakote and when did the headaches begin?
Stoped last week about 7 or 8 days I only took a couple of them I don't like how they make me feel. About 2 months ago I had flu like sysmptons with body aches but the headaches never went away
OK--stopping the depakote could have worsened the headaches but you need either an MRI of a ct of the neck since they could be caused by nerve compression. Cervical fusion can put stress on the disks above or below the area fused and you may have another ruptured disk.
