Optional Information: Person's Gender: Male Person's Age: 53 Already Tried: I have let him take some of my vyvanse.
Hi--how can I help you with this? And, silly question you might think--what's the problem with his waiting until May 23?
I don't know if you have ever been on that type of medication but when I forget to take mine I can't hardly function because I'm tired and I feel light headed. He has started a lawn business and is struggling. We live in shreveport la and need to find him a Dr that could get him a prescription until then. He has all of his paperwork from the Dr that gave him the prescription for 3the months.
What type of doctor is he going to see and was that the earliest any doctor you contacted could see him?
He is seeing a family doctor
OK--again, how exactly can I help you with this?
Well I thought you would be able to give me a better answer than you have. I guess this is a waste of my time and yours.
But I haven't yet given you an answer. Are you asking how he can see a doctor sooner?
As my question at the beginning stated he can't wait that long. I would think that would mean that he needs to find a Dr sooner
I understand. Were you hoping I could somehow get him an appointment with a doctor in the area in a short time?
Well maybe as a Dr you could give some advice on what to ask a Dr when in this situation. How could I expect for you to pull a Dr out of your hat. I guess I should have said it differnly. If somebody came in to see you and they were in this situation what can be done.???????????
Does he have all the documentation from his previous doctor--not just the prescription log but the documentation that he truly has ADD (which I'm assuming is the diagnosis for which he takes the Adderall
I guess I am a little adjatated because if a Dr prescribed 3 months of medication you would have to have some kinda of documentation to be able to get another prescription filled.
I know that there'd be documentation of the previous prescription, but that alone wouldn't, for example, give me reason to refill that particular medication--I'd need full documentation of the disorder for which it was prescribed.
He has all the information that the Dr gave him. So very simple is there a way to state the circumstances to a doctors office to get in a get a prescription filled...
Well, I'm trying to help here, but what can I say than he sees the doctor with his documentation in hand and asks for a refill, which is all anyone can do short of having his old doctor personally call the new doctor to explain the situation. However, in general, only a psychiatrist would be comfortable with refilling a medication like this on a long term basis, so, hopefully, he could get one month's subscription from a doctor now and use the time to find a psychiatrist.
