Resolved Question:

A couple years ago I had a stress fracture in my foot. I don't think it ever healed correctly. I was getting a foot massage today and the pressure was too much and the place where it broke two years ago made a loud pop and had some pain. What did the massage due to my foot?

Welcome to Just Answer.

When did you have the fracture?

Is there any tenderness, redness, swelling there?

Which part of the foot?

Thank you.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Fracture was two years ago. It was swelling when it broke, but hasn't been for quite a while. The fracture is in the metatarsals on the top of the foot.

Thank you for the information,

In case of fracture of the spot again, you would feel pain along with popping the sound.

Fracture pain is usually intense & persistent.

If you still feel pain or if the point is tender, then I would advise to get an examination by doctor.

A check X ray can be taken.

Other possibility of the popping sound is from movement in adjacent joint.

I hope this information helps.

I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.

Please feel free for any follow up query.

Best wishes.
