Hello,

The diagnosis by a rheumatologist would be important as there are some medications which can "switch off" the arthritis. The conventional and complementary / alternative treatment are;

1) Physical therapy
2) Deep electrotherapy
3) Acupuncture
4) Herbs; Turmeric, Capsaicin cream, Green tea, Cat's claw.
5) Hydrotherapy / Spa therapy.
6) Homeopathy; Causticum, Rhus toxicodendron; 2 globules three times a day (30 potency).

Please feel free for your follow up questions.

I would be happy to assist you further, if you need any more information.
