I constantly am constipated; I have to always take something to help. I feel the need to go but I can't most of the time. Can you give me a reason this keep occurring?

How long have you had the problem and have you seen a doctor to have it evaluated?

Is you stool always very hard? What laxatives have you tried?

It is hard when I dont take anything; I take exlax or store brand laxatives

Well you could try Miralax and extra fiber with psyllium and some mineral oil or olive oil but at your age any change in bowel movements like this warrants evalustion with colonoscopy. You may just have irritable bowel syndrome, but, without pulling punches with you, you could have colon cancer, so even if this resolves with what I've suggested, I'd still schedule you for a colonoscopy.
