I took my first Ampheta S/Combo 30mg pill today (one per day). Is this an average dosage or should I request a smaller dosage and take it twice a day to get longer coverage. I realize dosages vary per person, but what is average? I am a 48 yr. old male and weigh 200 lbs.

Is this the IR--instant release type or the SR--sustained release?
It does not say. However, it does say- BARR.
Your dosage is probably appropriate but as to whether you need a twice daily dose, that can only be determined by your taking it and seeing how it goes. If there's a problem and the effect wears off too soon, a better alternative would be Vyvanse--a long acting similar medication.
