I have had a tingling sensation on just the tip of my tongue

Resolved Question:

I have had a tingling sensation on just the tip of my tongue for 4 days now. This morning I noticed red spots on the tip of my tongue. There is no pain, but this is really alarming to me. I have rinsed with Listerine, and the tip of my tongue does burn when I use the mouthwash. Please help. What could this be? Should I see my doctor?

burning and tingling tongue can actually be due simply to overstimulating with mouth wash, from dental problems, too much brushing and other causes.
or infection,,,viral for example

Some causes can be more systemic
B vitamin deficiency
GERD, reflux
hormone changes

So, yes you should see your doctor, it is not an emergency and often this is temporary without known cause.
If symptoms spread...and more than just the tongue then seek attention sooner.
good luck
