I need to know what to do?

Resolved Question:

Hi, really scared here.  Real problem is I think I messed up my fingertips bad.  I need to know what to do?  Really don't want to go to the doc or ER (no insurance)  I have been using straight bleach on toilet paper to sanitize my toilet every time I used it for about 3 weeks.  The day before yesterday I noticed my fingertips staying dented in a little.  I thought maybe I was a little dehydrated or something.  I'e been trying to drink a fair amount of liquids and seems a little better, but still not all fingertips are puffing back out immediately after pushing on them.  Now I'm guessing chemical burn that went really deep.  Can you tell me anything I can do naturopathically at home.  Some of my fingertips did get red and  cracked.

HI..thank you for your question. Chlorine bleach can burn your skin and can cause painful fingertips.... but don't be worried.. this should fully self resolve within a few days if you keep bleach away from your hands and use a good healing cream, such as Vaseline intensive care or any other cream designed for dry cracked skin. IF the cream stings then you can use a diaper rash cream instead, such as Desitin. I hope this information helps you.... if I can help further, please let me know:-)

Thank You Camille,
Well, first of all, that disclaimer is a little scary. I think it should be put right up front upon first contact. Anyway, that's really an administration issue.
My biggest concern here is about the skin not
bouncing right back out if I push on it. Do you believe that will resolve also, after a few more days? I stopped using the bleach yesterday. I also used a couple of different healing creams last night at separate times.
Is there a point where if it doesn't resolve I should go see my Doctor?

I've heard back from customer service. However, I haven't heard back from an expert about my follow-up question.

Relist: Incomplete answer.
Again my biggest concern was about my fingertips staying dented in. (The info about red & cracked fingertips was a detail to help with diagnosis, i.e.
we're already past this point.)

HI... I am sorry you were waiting for so long. Yes, I do think it will go away completely. I have seen cases where people work with bleach extensively and have had similar problems, all resolved with time and a good emolient cream.
