Hi--your age and other medical conditions? Any swelling of the leg?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

Hi, age is female, age 75

No swelling of the leg. Pain in ONLY at night

No other significant medical conditions...I do take cholesterol medication , Mavik and I take Apo- Atorvastatin

I take high blood pressure medication ( not sure doctor gave me because my blood pressure is low, but I used to be borderline diabetic..not now since I lost weight and go the gym three times per week.)

Any tenderness in the muscles? How soon after you lay down does the pain begin?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

No tenderness in the muscles.

The pain starts about 2 hours after I lay down

No cramping or jerking of the leg?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

I would describe it mainly as just pain, not really cramping so much.

For sure no jerking.

I can walk with the dogs daily with no problem...it just hurts a lot at night

OK. This sounds like a form of restless leg syndrome since it only occurs at night. A spinal problem would likely cause symptoms while up and around during the day. There is a medication called Requip that can be very effective in treating this, so I would suggest you have your doctor evaluate you for that.
