You need a proper muscular skeletal and neurological examination along with an x-ray of your back. Possible cause of your pain can be a strain, spasm, herniated disc, etc. So please schedule an appointment to be seen by your doctor as soon as possible. In the meantime you can try ice/heat packs and ibuprofen 600mg every 6 hours as needed.
