lower left side of the abdomen when Im urinating..pelvic area

Resolved Question:

I get "descending" pain on the lower left side of the abdomen when I'm urinating. Pain goes away afterwards, but still remains a bit dull while I'm moving or sitting. When I put a bit of pressure above the pelvic area to the left, I feel a bit of pain. No burning while urinating. History of acid reflux. Female.

Here to help you with my expert advice and medical knowledge!!!

Since when you have these symptoms?

Have you been to a doctor?

Any history of urinary tract infection?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I've had the symptoms for about 2 weeks. At first I thought it was gas pain because I had eaten spicy foods.

Haven't been to a doctor yet. I did a dip test (Multistix) that turns out positive for leucocytes and I think a bit of blood.

Had a urinary tract infection once only (15 years ago) : drank lots of cranberry juice and it went away.

There is possibility you have still have urinary tract infection even if there is not burning sensation while urinating.

Other e cause can ovarian pathology like cyst.

You should get your self examined by your doctor and get few investigation done.

Urine examination and ultrasound will be required.

Continue with drinking lot of water and ibuprofen and get yourself examined.

You can also apply warm compresses if pain is severe.
