Im having intermittent right ear pain but not deep in the

Resolved Question:

I'm having intermittent right ear pain but not deep in the canal- seems to be in the outer part and can cause pain to touch the outer canal of my ear. My scalp is sensitive also on the right side of my head. I've been sneezing and do notice some sinus drainage.

I also had an exp lap with ovary/tube removal 3 weeks ago - probably unrelated.

thanks!

Dr. Singh :

Hi

Dr. Singh :

If you are experiencing pain in the outer ear canal you likely have what is known as an otitis externa ear infection.

Customer:

does that require antibiotics?

Dr. Singh :

Treatment for this condition includes careful cleaning of the outer ear as well as topical antibiotics

Customer:

so I need to go to urgent care? I'm really tired of hospitals! :)

Dr. Singh :

So you will need to see your doctor regarding this for a prescription

Dr. Singh :

Yes since it is the weekend and your doctors office is probably closed I would recommend going to an urgent care center for the prescription

Customer:

thank you
