Hello, i have a 5 year old daughter that for the last 2-3 days has been developing redness in the cheeks on and off , bright red , no iritation or fever , just cheecks would be red and sometimes you seee she is normal, what could it be from ?
A likely cause of her symptoms is Parvovirus infection which can cause fifth disease in children also called slapped-cheek disease. It is a common and highly contagious viral infection occurring in children and young adults. This is usually a mild illness and resolves on its own in 5-10 days. If she develops any fever, she can be given Tylenol or Motrin as needed. If symptoms persist or worsen, she should be seen by a doctor.
Best Regards.

doesnt that creates a rash on face??? she has no rash just a little redeness no fever absolutelly normal function.
SKin changes in Parvovirus can range from red discoloration to raised rash. Symptoms can come and go for the duration of the infection. So Parvovirus is still the likely cause. Other possibilities are drug reaction, allergy, immune disease etc.
