small hard , almost pea sized , a little smaller on top of hand

This answer was rated:

My 5 year old daughter has developed a small hard , almost pea sized , a little smaller on top of hand. No swelling or pain. She says always been there, but I have just noticed it. I hold her hand always and have never felt it. She says it does not hurt. It is moveable, but hard like bone. What ya think?

In which part of the hand exactly?

How is its shape?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

Top of hand and it is small and round. Feel like bone, not fluidy.

Very malleable.

Thank you for the information.

When it is a new symptom it needs to be checked by doctor.

This seems to be due to a ganglion cyst.

Though rare in children but can occur.

I hope this information helps.

I will be happy to assist, if you need any clarification.
