I have had a slightly progressive dry cough for a little over

Resolved Question:

I have had a slightly progressive dry cough for a little over two years (getting worse in the last month or so), and my neck has felt "big" most of the time but looks normal. I also have hypothyroidism, and possibly normal seasonal allergies, but none I would even take meds for. When I move my head up or forward, I cough. I also cough for seemingly no reason sometimes. It is also starting to feel weird to swallow. Should I be worried at all?

Hello. Thank you for coming to JustAnswer with your question, and welcome.

From the description of your symptoms, your thyroid gland may be enlarging. This is something that warrants an exam by your doctor fairly soon. This can happen in some people who have hypothyroidism.
