Moreover more water intake helps.
You didnot ask about medicines but glycerine suppositories can help someone with severe constipation.
Basically you need to take high fiber diet on regular basis and drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day. Psyllium husk with yogurt should be in your routine. Whole fruits such as apples ,oranges,raspberries , pears and guavas are extremely high in fiber and you should take them regularly. Vegetables and beans are possibly the best sources of fiber we can consume. There are many cereals that contain whole grains and large amounts of fiber. So you should be taking them in routine.
I short i would say that you need to concentrate on how to avoid this constipation along with how to relieve it quickly, i think i have explained both aspects.
