I evacuated feces rectally and the pouch has stopped filling..stroma

Resolved Question:

I had a temporary transverse colostomy 3 years ago and it has been working fine until yesterday. Without warning , I evacuated feces rectally and the pouch has stopped filling up. The stoma looks fine and I have no pain. What is happening?

I arrested twice during the surgery, so the doctor is loathe to reverse
