Welcome to Just Answer and thanks for your question. These tests together are generally looking for evidence of TIA - transient ischemic attack or "mini-stroke." His doctor should have explained why he was ordering the tests.

so, these are normal tests for a stroke-he has never ever even mentioned anything related to a stroke.

They are often used for determining if someone has had a TIA. They can be used for other things, but that is the most common use for that particular panel. Only the physician who ordered them can tell you his reasons.
