Hello,

How long have you been on the antibiotics?

Thank you for clarifying,

It is difficult to give an exact length of time for how long you are contagious.
It depends on the type of organism and how well you can fight it off.
Pneumonia is spread through respiratory droplets, typically.
The best way to prevent spread is to cover your mouth when coughing and wash your hands frequently.

I would avoid being around anyone who is immune compromised for 2 weeks (ie people on chemotherapy).

If you feel well, have energy back, cough is pretty much gone and have no fever, you can resume your daily activities but take precautions to prevent spread.

You can be contagious for up to two weeks.

but how about work then? is it best to not work if it can be contagious for up to two weeks?

I am sorry, I did not see your response.

You can go to work if you are feeling well and your cough is minimal.
Just make sure that you cover your mouth if you do cough and wash your hands frequently.
