I just sat Indian-style on the floor for the first time today

I just sat Indian-style on the floor for the first time today since I had my L5 microdiskectomy in July. I was working on arranging some items on the floor, so i lifted some thing (probably no more than 15lbs MAX), but I took care to not twist. I figure I should not make a habit of it, but I just want see what an expert thought. Basically, did I risk seriously hurting my back?
Are you having any pain or numbness since do did this?

So far, nothing unusual. Feel about the same. Just concerned.
Since you are not having any symptoms at this time, I would not be particularly worried. While I would generally not recommend sitting this way regularly after having had back problems, I don't imagine that you did anything serious with this particular episode.

What should I look at for, sudden acute pain and or numbness? Or is it something that could sneak up on me over time?
You might notice some general tightness in the lower back, but unless you felt some immediate symptoms I would not expect anything more than some temporary muscle tightness/discomfort.
