Hello..

Well, there are five types of white blood cells-

-Neutrophils
-Lymphocytes
-Monocytes
-Eosinophils
-Basophils.

Monocytes percent ranges from- 2% to 8% in normal person.
Also An increased percentage of monocytes may be due to:

Allergic disease, Cancer, Parasite infection.

what if mono # XXXXX high also along with mono %?

Well, high percentage of monocytes can be due to any of these causes-
1. Allergic disease
2. Cancer,
3. Parasite infection.
4. Chronic inflammatory disease.

1. Chronic bacterial infection.
2. Multiple myeloma.
3. Viral infection.
4. Recovery from a bacterial infection.

While decrease in percentage of lymphocytes is due to-

1. HIV
2. Leukemia.
3. Sepsis.
