Dr J Burk :

Hi

Dr J Burk :

You need some further tests to find out why your are short of breath.

Dr J Burk :

1. a repeat chest x-ray to see if the infection has resolved

Dr J Burk :

2.pulmonary function tests ( breathing tests) to see if your emphysema has worsened

Dr J Burk :

3.a CBC to exclude anaemia ( a common cause of shortness of breath)

Dr J Burk :

4. if these are all normal then an echocardiogram to exclude heart failure

Dr J Burk :

Anything else that I can do for you?
