blood..strip of skin that joins my tongue to the bottom of my mouth

Resolved Question:

I have a blood coloured mark on one of the little bobbles at the bottom of the strip of skin that joins my tongue to the bottom of my mouth. I noticed it a few days ago and it doesn't appear to be healing/changing. It is not possible that I've bitten it there.

Hi,

MD doc :

This may be a manifestation of some local trauma

MD doc :

, like a Blood blister

MD doc :

or rarely a manifestation of a mild viral infection

Hello,

MD doc :

I would recommend observation for a week more since it is likely to improve spontaneously in this time frame.

MD doc :

If not then you could show the same to your physician / dentist for further evaluation

I apologize I did not see that you had in fact joined the chat
Please let me know if you need more inputs
I know that the location is a bit unusual, but things like hot food, spicy food etc. can lead to a similar blood colored mark.
