Hello, and I am pleased to help, use of my answers are for educational purposes only.
Let me explain
Vicodin is Lortab - and let me explain the numbers
The 500mg is 500mg of Tylenol (Acetomenophen)
The 5mg is 5mg of hydrocodone
10mg is 10mg of hydrocodone
and so on
So, basically The vicodin 5/500 is half as strong as lortab 10/500

So the vicodin is just another name for lortab. I ask because I have had two major back surgeries in the last 6 months. The first was my lumbar, had rods and scres from L-5 to L-3 the rest of my lumbar was fused. My last surgery was last wed. thoracic 6-7 was ruptered and pressing on my spinal cord. They sent me home with vicodin 5/500 and percecet 5/500. Didn't think to ask the Doctor about vicotin. I've gotten dizzy the last two days.
Yes it is.
When we write prescriptions we can't just write Lortab or Vicodin - in my State for example we are required to write for example Vicodin 10/500 or Lortab 10/500 - which is the exact same drug
Drugs have many different names.
Percocet is similar to Lortab and Vicodin, but instead of Hydrocodone, Percocet has oxycodone (basically similar medications)
Ok, thank you I wasn't real sure and didn't want to wait to find out next day because of me being dizzy.
Since you were given these drugs for surgery and they are new to you, it is very common to have reactions like you have such as dizzinenss
such this is common
