Im having sharp pain in my inner thigh. Feels like a combination

Resolved Question:

I'm having sharp pain in my inner thigh. Feels like a combination of a stabbing with a hot knife and an electric shock. Only lasts a second or two, and has only happened 5 or 6 times today. Never experienced before.

I was surprised that when I started to type a search in google for sharp inner thigh pain, ti popped up as a possible search subject before I finished typing. So sounds common.

Any ideas?

Welcome to

Sharp pain in thigh , can be due to compression of lateral femoral nerve. This is called as Meralgia Paresthetica.
It can cause pain and further numbness in thigh region.
The second possibility , considering your symptoms is possible Blood clot .
As a Physician, my advice is that you should not ignore these symptoms. To evaluate the cause for your symptoms, you should see doctor. You will be requiring Duplex ultrasound as this is the most common test used to diagnose deep vein clots.
You will be advised management after clinical evaluation.
Please see your doctor.
Good luck and take care
