I have a very yucky scent trapped in my nasal passage and mouth.

I have a very yucky scent trapped in my nasal passage and mouth. Its really worse when I try to have either my meals or snacks and it puts me off. What could it be.

No fever, No problem breathing out of nose, No ear fullnes, It just started on Monday 07/09/2010

Here are some reasons this could be occurring: Most likely is listed first.


1. Impacted sinuses from a sinus infection. Would need antibiotics for this and could try Mucinex DM until you can be seen by a provider.


2. Infected or abscesses tooth. Need antibiotics. However, you would most likely be experiencing pain with this as well. Check to be sure all gums are a healthy pink and not red.


3. Tonsilar stone. Usually you will feel some pain on the side that this can occur but pain is also later when the stone gets bigger.


4. Salivary glands infected. Can be a little uncomfortable when you eat because it is producing more saliva.
