CamilleRN :

Welcome to JustAnswer Health...and thank you for your question. I am a verified Expert and am delighted to help you today. Are you currently taking any prescription medications or supplements? Does the leg get red or hot to the touch or does it feel hot on the inside? Any pain?

JACUSTOMER-itkp4bfe- :

Feels hot on the inside; almost like it is under the skin of my shin.

JACUSTOMER-itkp4bfe- :

I take bystolic, antara, and lipitor.

JACUSTOMER-itkp4bfe- :

I also take a multi-vitamin and fish oil pills.

JACUSTOMER-itkp4bfe- :

Plus a low dose aspirin

CamilleRN :

Is there any redness or heat to the touch?

JACUSTOMER-itkp4bfe- :

No redness. This pulsating heat is not consistent. There is a feel of heat when I touch during the hot flash but no heat during the periods it is not flashing.

CamilleRN :

is this the front of the leg?

JACUSTOMER-itkp4bfe- :

yes

CamilleRN :

THis is likely due to a nerve problem. Sometimes tube socks that are too snug..tight jeans... or sitting can cause compression of a nerve which will cause this type of symptom.

CamilleRN :

This is not harmful, but can be very annoying. To pinpoint the cause, a Neurologist examination would benefit you.
