Hello,

Did the ophthamologist do a retinal exam? (examine the back of your eyes?)

i am not sure.

If you had a dilated eye exam prior to your surgery by an ophthamologist, then your doctor did a full exam.
If you are unsure, then you should have a full, dilated eye exam within the next year given your recent diagnosis.

No, if you had a dilated eye exam, then you should simply follow up one year after that exam for your next screening.
