Resolved Question:

2 year old possibly ate a few ibuprofen. He weighs 37 pounds and it was adult ibuprofen. Mom was there is just a few seconds, didnt see any signs of any being chewed or anything left in his mouth. What should we watch for or do?

Hello,

 

He needs to be taken to ER, as he may need stomach lavage (washing) and need to be observed. Many times intravenous sodium bicarbonate may also be required. Please see the resource (overdose section);
