I suffer from chronic sinusitis, asthma and nasal polyps.

I suffer from chronic sinusitis, asthma and nasal polyps. I am having an extensive endoscopic surgery in 2 weeks. This will be my 5th surgery in 22 months, but my first extremely extesive surgery. I am an unusual case. My question is; Fairly often I feel slightly dizzy, "off". I just don't feel right. The feeling seems to come and go. Is this because of all the polyps I have? I also just had my levothryoxine dosage decreased.

Thanks for your question.

Yes, chronic sinusitis can cause dizziness. Your sinuses are also important to keep your head 'balanced'.

Chronic inflammation may result in mild dizziness.

Hopefully, following surgery your symptoms will improve.

Another possibility is middle ear infection, as sinus infection can affect the ears as well.

This can also cause dizziness.

But, if your ear are ok, then sinusitis is likely the cause.

Good luck with your surgery!
