Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

I shall be trying my best to help you as much as I can. Could you please help me understand your problem by giving me the following details:

1) Exactly for how long is he having this problem?

2) Any nausea/ vomiting/ diarrhea/ etc?

3) Any cough?

4) Any acid reflux?

5) Any other symptoms/ significant medical conditions or significant past history?

Thanks. Shall be waiting for your reply.

he has been having this problem on and off for weeks now. He has been vomiting all night, No cough or acid reflux. He does have Hep C..and thinks it may be his gallbladder. THe pain is so bad that he cannot lay down

Thanks for the additional details. With such a bad pain, he needs to be checked up ASAP by his doctor/ ER. With no history of acid reflux and there is no relief with gas pills, then probably we might be dealing with the following possibilities perhaps:

(a) Gall bladder issue (as your boy friend suspects)

(b) Acute pancreatitis

(c) Hepatitis

(d) Indigestion/ dyspepsia

Please avoid giving him any food/ fluid or any other medicine till he is checked up by his doctor/ ER.

I hope that this information helps answer your query. Please feel free to inquire if you have any remaining concerns/ doubts, as it shall be a privilege and a pleasure to try and help as much as I can. Best wishes.
