I have a 5 week infant and seem to still be unable to read

Customer Question

I have a 5 week infant and seem to still be unable to read him. I do not feel like I have that motherly instinct. He has frequent spells of crying for which I cannot console him, and have yet to figure-out what the source of the problem is. I wish I would have gotten a midwife to help me out because sometimes I feel overwhelmed. My husband does not understand, but he is not with him all day long.

Hi,
5 weeks old baby may be crying when he is hungry or if the nappies are wet nappies ( common causes).
Feed him on demand.
A baby is said to be getting adequate feeds-
1. If he uurinates at least 4-6 times a day
2. If sleeps peacefully after feeding
3. If he gains weight
