for 4 years; I now exercise by swimming 1 mile twice a week and run 3.5 once a week.

could i take a lower does overtime or is their another drug where i can reduce dependency? i have no AF symptoms now; I had AF once per day lasting for 30 minutes.

Yes you can shift to a lower dose of Sotalol as you are symptom free.You already taking minimum dose of Sotalol but you can reduce it to once per day for next 1 month then observe effects.If still symptom free then you will leave it after consulting your physician.
