Welcome to JA and a happy new year.

There are multiple causes of genital ulcers they are

1) genital herpes

2) other STD's like syphilis chancroid, HIV.

3) behcets disease

4) skin cancers

you need to get a swab test for culture and sensitivity plus tests for HIV and other STD's. a skin biopsy will be required in case of non healing ulcer to rule out any cancer.

at home you need to take following steps to help with your symptoms

wear cotton underwears,

keep area dry,

donot use soap or any chemical to clean the area,

avoid sex,

shave your genital area/ as there are ulcers so use some trimmer as hair can also irritate and delay the healing of ulcers.

donot wipe the area with tissue paper use some cotton cloth or dry wipes.

get your tests as i have mentioned to get a proper diagnosis that will help in managing the accurate treatment plan.

I hope this answers your question.
