My urine smells and is a little cloudy. There is no pain at all. What could it be and what kind of doctor do I go to?

Dear bminker,

how long are the symptoms?

did you consult a doctor yet?

any associated fever, abdomen pain, burning sensation?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

My urine has been smelly since November and just started being cloudy.

I have not seen a doctor because I do not know what kind of doctor to go to

no fever, pain or burning

Dear mbinker,

Thank you for the information,

There are some common causes of such clody urine like infection, cystitis, kidney infection, protenuria, etc.

As per the symptoms the chances of infectious cause should be ruled out first which may cause such clody urine.

The other possibility could be the kidney infection as in nephritis which may also be tested for.The proteinuria may also cause such cloudy urine.

You may consult a physician or urologist and have the urine examination, blood counts, etc done to know the associated abnormality.
