Trichomoniasis is transmitted via sexual contact. It is a sexually transmitted disease. So yes, you can certainly contract it after having a hysterectomy.

Trichomoniasis can also cause a feeling-burning while urinating and will present within 5-28 days after exposure. It can also cause lower abdominal pain, greenish foul smelling discharge and pain during sexual intercourse.

It can be easily treated with antibiotics.

Hope this helps!
