WHAT IS CALCIFIED GRANULOMATA IN THE SPLEEN

Resolved Question:

WHAT IS CALCIFIED GRANULOMATA IN THE SPLEEN?

Hello!

A granuloma is a body response to certain infections. You must have had an infection which reached your liver several years ago. The calcification takes a while (years) to form on top of the area of inflammation. This is probably just an incidental finding of a problem in years past. It should be a significant finding at this time.

I hope this information helps. Further questions are welcome if you have any. If my answer has been helpful and to your satisfaction then please remember to press the "ACCEPT" button. Thank You and Best Regards,
